MADISON STATION - Caboose
sets the style for city architecture to
reflect the railroad boom era when
Madison farmers shipped local
strawberries in quantity to northern
markets.
Thank you for viewing our site.
A Ridgeland road crosses Illinois Central line near the historic location of an early settlement called Yellowley's
Crossing.  The Natchez Trace runs just south of this area, and Brashear's Stand and King's Inn were pioneer
establishments creating trade which benefited the first railroad, the New Orleans, Jackson, and Great Northern.
