COMING SOON -- Second volume of MISSISSIPPI RAILROAD
HERITAGE by Sharron Daniel Cauthen will be added to our collection of
family and community history books. Our home base now is in Madison,
Miss., but we have been privileged to write about our hometowns in East
Holmes County and North Madison County, Central Mississippi. The new
volume of Miss RR Heritage contains much history and lots of valuable
railroad photos. We are grateful to the railroad families who have shared
their memories, their stories, and cherished pictures.

GM&O ten-wheeler #377 takes over as northbound
power for the usual gas-electric train due to engine
failure on this December 1946 day in Meridian,
MS. No. 377 was a former Mobile & Ohio 4-6-0.
