| A Ridgeland road crosses Illinois Central line near the historic location of an early settlement called Yellowley's Crossing. The Natchez Trace runs just south of this area, and Brashear's Stand and King's Inn were pioneer establishments creating trade which benefited the first railroad, the New Orleans, Jackson, and Great Northern. |
